Stacey joined Guide Financial in 2019 after a long career in the lending industry with the Commonwealth Bank and Suncorp, working across agribusiness, commercial and retail lending. She is a champion for our clients, obtaining the most favourable lending terms and packages, educating borrowers, and proactively managing loan pricing on a regular basis.

Her role encompasses implementing a variety of loans and advocating for clients through loan refinancing (Stacey can place property loans, vehicles loans, equipment loans, business loans or whatever the client needs). She analyses loan options and negotiates with lenders on behalf of clients to obtain the most suitable loan products at the best rates available to meet the needs of each client.

Stacey acts in the best interest of our clients always, including educating clients around loan products, and debt strategies and their obligations under the finance contract. She proactively requests loan pricing reviews with lenders every 12 months to ensure clients continue to borrow at the best terms.

A testament to Stacey’s work ethic is her winning the 2020 Best Support Officer award by Centrepoint Alliance, across 500 Financial Advisers – so well-deserved Stacey!

Rewarding Work

Stacey relishes working with first home buyers and helping them to enter the market and achieve a major life goal. She also revels in saving clients thousands of dollars through annual pricing reviews or refinancing. “Often, we see new lending clients who have been with their existing lender for several years, because of loyalty, family traditions, or a good price at the beginning of their loan, yet their lender may be offering new borrowers’ rates that are 2% lower than our client’s rates. So much for loyalty!”

In a few short years Stacey has become a valuable part of the Guide Team. The feeling is mutual, says Stacey: “I can honestly say that the Guide team would have to be one of the best teams I’ve worked in throughout my career.”

Family is what Stacey values most. She grew up in Cairns and she and her kids love it when family visit or turn up in their caravans (on planned and unplanned trips!). “It’s great to live in a country where your family can visit regularly even though they live so far away.”

Stacey’s also a people person, loves workshopping ideas and learning about new things.

Her favourite animal – even surprising to herself – is cats. They are surprisingly full of personality and sass.

When it comes to chilling out, Stacey is an Aussie girl through and through, enjoying a coldie (beer) and keeping up with Home and Away.
