Client Service Officer

Kiera joined Guide Financial in 2021 as a Client Services Officer (CSO), after seven years working in admin in the legal and accounting industries. Kiera has a passion for technology, systems and spreadsheets. She loves to explore how we can use the power of technology to build better services and reporting for clients.

There is a maturity in Kiera that is beyond her years. Losing her mom to cancer when she was only 20 has been a challenging journey that has refined Kiera into a strong, independent woman with a developed outlook on life and work.

In her role as a CSO, Kiera supports our Senior Advisors, Marc Venter and Brad Wall. on a range of clients and when asked the main purpose of her role, she simply strives to make the lives of others easier! Advisers and clients alike.

Kiera is responsible for preparation, background, and ongoing service management for a range of clients. This includes preparing for reviews, doing post appointment summaries, sourcing any outstanding information required to set up various financial plan elements, and implementing any strategies following our appointments or annual reviews.

Her Best Advice

When it comes to great advice, financial or otherwise, Kiera values three adages:

  • “Everything happens for a reason, even if we don’t like it or understand it.”
  • “Seek discomfort, our greatest moments exist outside our comfort zone.”
  • “There is only one of you so own it, love it and share it. You’re never too much for the right people.”
Rewarding Work

For Kiera, who likes to focus on making things easy for clients and teammates, what she finds particularly rewarding is taking away client hassles when it comes to navigating their future and finances. “There are things we deal with every day, that are very familiar to us, but for someone doing these things themselves, it can be difficult and daunting.” That’s where Kiera comes in.

And on the Personal Side

When Kiera lost her mum to cancer, this really highlighted to her that you don’t know how long you have and it’s important to do the things that light the fire in your life and bring you joy. Her view is to take the opportunities that come your way even if they scare you. This led her to pursue a dream outside of work instead of waiting until she was ‘qualified’ or felt ‘ready’ because if not now, when? “Only you can decide if its’ one day or day one.”

To relax, Kiera enjoys reading fantasy or romance novels, dancing including aerial hammock, cooking, and napping.

Her favourite animal is the wolf. She loves their power, grace, and intelligence and how they work as a pack to ensure the best results for the group. However, if she could be any animal, it would be a well-loved house cat!
